Adventures in Running – Part 1

A couple weeks ago, I wrote about living life and making new memories, and I admonished us all to quit reliving the old days. After all, who says the glory days have to be in the past. Part of my mission to make new memories is to try new places to run – find places I’ve never been, changing up my routes, getting out of the “comfort zone” as it is sometimes annoyingly referred to.

Something else that I have started doing is taking short videos while I’m on trail runs to share with Wayne, to show him the scenery and just to make him feel more a part of what I’m doing when I’m gone running for several hours. He enjoys watching them and I enjoy making them. My video skills are a lot like my writing skills – straight from the heart, spilling out whatever might be rolling around in my head at the time.

This ‘episode’ of Silver Lining Strong features a video I made from a trail run at the Kokopelli trail system in Loma, CO.  I have run almost all of the trails out there – they are the trails I ran for the Desert Rats Trail Marathon in April. But there were a couple trails I had never set foot on, until a few weeks ago.

I hope you enjoy the video. I’d love to hear what you think.

With no further ado – Angela’s Adventures: Horsethief Bench
